Britain is a very popular place to study. Not only does it offer diverse universities that are a mix of traditional and contemporary places of study, but diverse cities in which they're set too. If you're looking into studying an art or science degree, then take a look at these top British universities to study your chosen topic. Whether it's art and design or photography, physics or biology, Britain has the right uni or college for you.
Goldsmiths, University of London
In the world's top 100 and the UK's top 20 universities for the arts and humanities, Goldsmiths University of London, formerly Goldsmiths College, is the place to study if you're artistically gifted. Famous artists including Antony Gormley and Damien Hirst are among the university's former students, with six past students winning the prestigious Turner Prize. This all provides more artistic inspiration than you can shake a paint brush at! In a great location not far from London's centre, Goldsmiths is the perfect university option for any budding artist.

University College London

Established in 1826, University College London was established to make education widely available to students of any race, class, religion or gender. University of Manchester: Physics and Astronomy
If it's physics and astronomy you're keen on studying, then look no further than the University of Manchester. The Physicist Brian Cox, OBE, received his degree and PHD at this celebrated university and he's now an honorary professor who presents guest lectures to all levels of students and hosts talks about his experiences of making his television shows about astronomy. He's not the only famous staff member — two University of Manchester physics professors won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2010 by inventing a completely new material called graphene. University of Edinburgh: College of Art

Glasgow School of Art 
The Glasgow School of Art is Scotland's only independent art school offering courses in architecture, fine art and design. Graduates include a BAFTA winning documentary maker, Lesley Punton, and Turner Prize winner Martin Boyce — a sign of the uni's excellent nurturing of its students. Imperial College London
Specialising in science, technology and medicine, Imperial College London is consistently rated amongst the world's best universities and among the United Kingdom's top three universities. Imperial College London is a science-based institution with a reputation for excellence in teaching and research, with its three faculties of engineering, natural sciences and medicine. The college is located in South Kensington near to the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, among other famous museums, which act as a point of reference as well as inspiration for students.
